Ashura Day is being celebrated today with religious devotion and respect

This solemn occasion is being commemorated with reverence across the country, including Karachi, where Zul-Jinah and condolence processions will take place in various cities and towns.

The central procession of Ashura Day in Karachi will begin from Nishtar Park, preceded by a main gathering at 8 am, featuring an address by Allama Shahshanshah Hussain Naqvi.

Led by Butrab Scouts, the procession will follow designated routes and conclude at Imam Bargah Hussainiya Iraniyan in Kharadar.

Pilgrims, coffins, and images of Zul-Jinah will be part of the procession, accompanied by renowned mourners paying tribute to the departed through chants and chest-beating.

Water and milk bottles have been placed along the routes, and arrangements have been made for distributing Niaz and Tabarak. For security purposes, the police, Rangers, scouts, and other agencies will be present during the main procession.

Additionally, congregational prayers will be offered at Zahreen Tibet Center, organized by Imamia Students Organization Pakistan Karachi Division.”
