After experiencing a "massive stroke" on January 28, 64-year-old Lisa Loring died suddenly.
The seasoned Hollywood performer, best remembered for portraying Wednesday Addams in the first season of The Addams Family in the middle of the 1960s, died after being taken off life support.
Lisa's daughter Vanessa Foumberg confirmed to Hollywood Reporter that she passed away on Saturday night, January 28th, at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California, as a result of complications from a stroke brought on by high blood pressure.
Vanessa and Marianne, her children, both held her hands as she passed away quietly, according to the woman.
In a post on social media, Lisa's close friend Laure Jacobson relayed the heartbreaking news and stated that Lisa had been on life support for "three days" before "passing" on Saturday.
Laure said in a depressing message, "I must inform you with deep sorrow about the passing of our friend Lisa Loring. She had a severe stroke four days ago as a result of smoking and high blood pressure.
"She had been on life support for three days. Her family took the tough decision to remove it yesterday, and she passed away last night."
She then said, "As Wednesday Addams, she is ingrained in the fabric of popular culture and will always hold a special place in our hearts. Lisa has left a significant impact in the entertainment industry. She is gorgeous, sweet, and a devoted mother.
And her legacy for her family and friends will be a richness of humour, love, and devotion that will live on in our minds for a very long time.
Lisa's buddy said, capping off the heartfelt farewell, "R.I.P., Lisa. Stupid girl… You were really enjoyable."
