Rawalpindi: Six foreign climbers en route to K2 were rescued by a Pak Army helicopter.
The climbers, hailing from America, Chile, Macedonia, and Nepal, were saved in three separate heli sorties. Two of the climbers, who were at the base camp preparing for the summit, suffered from high altitude sickness. They contacted the Pak Army, which promptly responded and rescued them. The mountaineers expressed their gratitude to the Pak Army for the timely rescue and were subsequently transferred to Skardu Hospital.
