Attock jail staff scuffles; Case registered against 2 lawyers of Chairman PTI

Toshakhana 2 case, Imran Khan's release order issued

Rawalpindi: Two lawyers associated with Chairman PTI Imran Khan have been charged after an altercation with staff at Attock Jail.

The incident led to the filing of a case at Attock Police Station based on a complaint from Deputy Superintendent Afzal Ahmad Waraich. The First Information Report (FIR) filed as No. 556 includes various charges, including making serious threats.

As per the content of the FIR, attorneys Sher Afzal Khan and Umair Khan Niazi were involved in an incident where they also ripped the uniform of Head Warrant Abrar Khan. The two lawyers had reportedly attempted to meet Chairman PTI after the jail’s visiting hours.

Upon arriving at the jail checkpoint, the lawyers were informed that the visiting hours were over, which apparently triggered their anger and subsequently led to a physical altercation between them and the jail staff.
