The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has postponed the bail application hearing for Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Vice Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, in the cipher case. The hearing is now scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday).
IHC Chief Justice Amir Farooq presided over the bail application hearing on Tuesday but had to adjourn the case because the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) prosecutor, Shah Khawar, was absent.
The assistant of the FIA prosecutor appeared in court and explained that Mr. Khawar was occupied with a case in the Supreme Court. Advocate Ali Bukhari, who represents Mr. Qureshi, requested the court to reschedule the hearing for 2 o’clock, but the judge declined the request and postponed the case to the following day.
