Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has asserted that Nawaz Sharif’s political approach revolves around violence, warning that if he were to become prime minister for the fourth time, he would seek retribution against PTI workers. Speaking at an election rally in Chiniot, Bilawal Bhutto highlighted the unprecedented challenges facing the nation, emphasizing that instead of serving the people, established politicians are focused on revenge politics, causing harm to the country, its citizens, and the economy.
During his address, Chairman PPP urged a comparison between their party’s achievements and the track record of someone vying for a fourth term as prime minister. Bilawal Bhutto criticized Nawaz Sharif, suggesting that his pursuit of power for the fourth time is fueled by a cycle of conflict and confrontation, rather than a commitment to addressing critical issues such as education and healthcare.
Expressing concern over the potential return of Mian Nawaz Sharif to the prime ministerial office, Bilawal Bhutto highlighted the need for collective action to thwart what he sees as a conspiracy. He stressed that if Sharif were to assume office again, the consequences for PTI workers would be severe due to his perceived inclination towards violence and revenge in politics.
Bilawal Bhutto declared his candidacy with the goal of burying the politics of hatred and division. He sought the public’s support to usher in a new era of politics, free from personal animosity. The Chairman PPP pledged to focus on addressing the people’s problems instead of engaging in revenge politics. He emphasized the party’s commitment to ending poverty, unemployment, and inflation while doubling the income of the citizens. Additionally, Bilawal Bhutto outlined plans for housing projects, regularization of slums, and providing ownership rights to residents.
Highlighting social welfare initiatives, he mentioned plans to increase support through the Benazir Income Support Program, provide interest-free loans to women, introduce the Benazir Kisan Card for small farmers, and implement a youth card to financially assist the younger population until they secure employment. Overall, Bilawal Bhutto presented a vision for a progressive and inclusive political agenda if given the opportunity to lead.
