During a workers’ convention in Shangla, Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto expressed the party’s focus on principled politics, emphasizing a departure from gossip-driven and divisive politics. He stressed the importance of political unity for the benefit of the people, highlighting the need to address real issues rather than engaging in personal disputes.

Bhutto criticized older politicians for prioritizing their egos over the genuine concerns of the public, emphasizing the need for a new, people-centric approach to politics. He asserted that the People’s Party aims to tackle poverty by providing essential necessities like food, clothing, and shelter, positioning themselves as the party capable of addressing the challenges faced by both the elderly and the youth.

Emphasizing his personal integrity, Bhutto asserted that he aims to enrich the lives of the people, not his own pockets. He promised to introduce youth cards if the People’s Party forms the government, with a commitment to fulfilling the vision of the late Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.

Additionally, Bhutto pledged to increase salaries twofold within five years, highlighting that while many politicians promise job opportunities, the PPP has a track record of delivering on this promise.
