Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the Chairman of the Peoples Party, emphasized the importance of fostering a dialogue-friendly environment among political factions by acknowledging the establishment’s role as a reality. Speaking in Quetta, he expressed the party’s commitment to governing Balochistan in the upcoming elections, pledging to prioritize its development. Highlighting the People’s Party’s role in establishing Gwadar Port, Bilawal stressed the need to ensure the success of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) by empowering the people of Balochistan.
Regarding the eighteenth amendment, Bilawal noted its incomplete implementation and addressed the perception of shifting political tides. He urged attention toward addressing concerns within Balochistan and Sindh, emphasizing the importance of heeding the public’s voice, as demonstrated through the People’s Party’s protests in Chaman.
Encouraging political parties to operate within the democratic framework, Bilawal critiqued Prime Minister Imran Khan’s alleged lack of accountability. During his visit, Bilawal was honored by the Hazara community with a traditional cap and shawl. He also convened with PPP Balochistan leaders to discuss the province’s political and electoral landscape, meeting with key figures including Sardar Mohammad Hosni, Mir Liaqat Lahri, Mir Asghar Rand, Mir Khalid Jamali, Haji Malik Shah Gurgej, and Sardar Sarfraz Domki.
