Buzz Aldrin marries Dr. Anca Faur on his 93rd birthday.

Buzz Aldrin, the second person to set foot on the Moon, announced his marriage to longtime girlfriend Dr Anca Faur on Friday, his 93rd birthday. In a private ceremony, Aldrin married Anca Faur, executive vice president of Buzz Aldrin Ventures. "On my 93rd birthday… I am delighted to inform that my longtime love Dr Anca Faur and I have married," Aldrin tweeted, with photos of himself and Faur, who is apparently 63. She was also the treasurer of the California Hydrogen Economic Council. Aldrin's past three marriages all ended in divorce. The last surviving member of the Apollo 11 mission, in which he and Neil Armstrong became the first persons to step foot on the Moon on July 20, 1969. Since leaving NASA in 1971, Aldrin has been a vocal supporter of space exploration. In his honour, a crater on the Moon near the Apollo 11 landing site has been named after him.
