Lahore: Mohsin Naqvi, the caretaker Punjab Chief Minister, has been designated as the head of the management committee in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Reliable sources indicate that Naqvi is also nominated to replace Zaka Ashraf on the PCB Governing Board. Following the acceptance of Zaka Ashraf’s resignation, Mohsin Naqvi was appointed as PCB’s Patron by the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Furthermore, it has been decided to conduct elections for the Pakistan Cricket Board within the next two weeks. The official notification for Mohsin Naqvi’s appointment may be issued today. Naqvi, as the nominated head of the Management Committee and member of the Governing Board, has acknowledged the responsibilities entrusted to him. He expressed his commitment to steering domestic cricket in the right direction.
It’s worth noting that Zaka Ashraf resigned from the position of PCB Management Committee Chairman on January 19, also stepping down as a Member of the Board of Governors.
