Chairman PTI, Imran Khan, was sentenced to three years in prison in the Tosha Khana case and has been transferred to High Security Cell No. 2, where he is being provided with improved facilities. A medical officer is available 24/7 in three shifts for medical examination, and security both inside and outside the jail is on high alert.
During his second night in captivity, Chairman PTI peacefully slept after offering Fajr prayer. He was moved from high security cell number 1 to cell number 2, which is larger and equipped with a chair, table, cot, and mattress. The security arrangements around cell number 2 are stringent, with prison department commandos continuously deployed for security duties and CCTV cameras monitoring the area. No prison officer is allowed to enter cell number 2 without the permission of the prison superintendent, and Chairman PTI is not allowed to leave the cell.
During his imprisonment, Chairman PTI adhered to his routine, performing tajhaad and Fajr prayer, reciting the Holy Quran, and studying English books at night.
To ensure his well-being, a team of doctors from Attock Hospital is present in three shifts for 24-hour medical examinations, with the medical officer checking on Imran Khan verbally during each 8-hour shift. Additionally, a Rescue 1122 ambulance with paramedic staff is stationed outside the jail at all times.
The security measures at District Jail Attock are strict, with all three roads leading to the jail closed for general traffic. Only essential vehicles are allowed to pass after thorough checks at Attock Police pickets. District Police and Rangers are also conducting patrolling in the area.
It is reported that Chairman PTI’s legal team is expected to meet him today.
