Saim Ayub gave his man of the match award to fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain in the Champions ODI Cup Qualifier match.
In the first qualifier match of the event played in Faisalabad yesterday, Panthers defeated Markhors by seven wickets and qualified for the Champions One Day Cup final. Destroyed the batting line of Makhors while Mohammad Hasnain took 3 wickets.
In Qualifier 1, Markhors won the toss and elected to bat first, which proved wrong. Markhors first 4 wickets against Panthers fell for just 25 runs and then the entire team was bowled out for just 137 runs.
Panthers achieved the desired target in the 24th over at the loss of just 3 wickets and booked their place in the final.
Saeem Ayub was given the man of the match award for his brilliant performance against Markhors, but Saeem gave his award to his teammate Mohammad Hasnain.
Saeem Ayub said that I think this award goes to Hasnain, the way he gave a great start by taking wickets with the new ball, he laid the foundation for the win, that was the reason why I got wickets too.
It should be noted that in the event, Stallions will face Lions in Eliminator 1 on Wednesday, the winning team will face Markhors in Eliminator 2.
