Faisalabad: Lions defeated Stallions by 12 runs in Eliminator One of the Champions ODI Cup.
Chasing the target in the Eliminator One played at the Faisalabad Stadium on Wednesday, the Stallions were bowled out for 251 runs in 49.4 overs.
Earlier, under the leadership of Imam-ul-Haq, Lions scored 263 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 50 overs by winning the toss and deciding to bat first.
Ahmed Daniyal unbeaten 65 runs, Mohammad Taha 47 and Aamir Yameen stood out with 46 runs.
Obaid Shah of Stallions took three wickets, Adil Amin and Muaz Sadaqat took two wickets each, Haris Rauf dismissed one player.
Yasir Khan 39, Jahandad Khan 36, Captain Mohammad Haris and Mohammad Mohsin 30 and 30 runs were prominent from Stallions side.
Ahmed Daniyal and Khushdil Shah of Lions took 3 and 3 wickets respectively.
Eliminator Two will pit the Lions against the Markhors on Friday, with the winner taking on the Panthers in the final on Sunday.
