Chief Justice; Investigation quality of KPK Police is worst.

In a recent session at the Supreme Court, Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa expressed deep concern over the quality of investigations carried out by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police.

The court, presided over by a 3-member bench, dismissed a lawyer’s plea related to a double murder case, criticizing the police’s handling of the investigation. The Chief Justice highlighted the inadequacies in the police inquiry, particularly regarding the failure to properly investigate an incident where two people lost their lives and three were injured.

Pointing out the supposed reforms in the KP Police, the Chief Justice questioned the lack of evident improvement in their investigative methods. He raised concerns about the absence of recorded statements from the injured parties, despite purported reforms within the police force.

Consequently, the court directed the trial court to expedite proceedings without any unnecessary delays. It’s important to note that the accused lawyer faces murder charges at the Mardan Sadar police station.
