The Supreme Court issued a statement regarding a letter from former Chairman of Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan. The statement emphasized Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa’s commitment to his constitutional duties, assuring that he cannot be influenced or biased. The Chief Justice, by the grace of Allah and in accordance with his oath, will continue to carry out his responsibilities.
According to Chief Justice Secretary Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq’s press release, a seven-page application was received on December 1. However, it lacked the lawyer’s name and contact details who prepared it. The document arrived through a courier sent by Intizar Hussain Panjhota.
The statement suggested that the document seems to have come from a political party, which has had adequate representation by lawyers. It was surprising that the media received information about the document before the sealed envelope was officially received by the Court.
