In response to the allegations leveled against the ISI by six judges of the Islamabad High Court, the Chief Justice has initiated action by scheduling a hearing and forming a seven-member larger bench.
Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa has acknowledged the concerns raised in the letter from the six judges and has arranged for a hearing, assembling a seven-member larger bench to address the matter. The bench, headed by the Chief Justice, includes Justice Athar Manullah, Justice Musrat Hilali, Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, Yahya Khan Afridi, Jamal Khan Mandukhel, and others. The hearing is scheduled for 11:30 on Wednesday.
Reports suggest that the issue was initially brought before a three-member committee for consideration. The Practice and Procedure Committee, led by the Chief Justice of Pakistan and comprising Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Muneeb Akhtar, endorsed the automatic initiation of proceedings.
