Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has declared a special announcement for Christian employees in Lahore, offering a Good Friday and Easter bonus.
The Punjab government has revealed that Christian employees working for the Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) will receive a bonus of Rs 5000. This announcement came through a notification issued by the HR department under the directive of CEO Babar Sahib Din.
The notification specifies that the bonus will be granted to a total of 9199 center workers, 73 supervisors, 250 drivers, and 6 helpers in light of the upcoming Good Friday and Easter celebrations. Additionally, a city-wide zero waste operation will be initiated before the Good Friday holiday, with all workers required to extend their shifts by at least 2 hours for fieldwork.
As part of the preparations for Easter, 266 churches across the city will be cleaned, and manual sweeping and scraping activities will be carried out exclusively in Sechin Colonies by a team of 78 workers.
Furthermore, operational machinery will remain active in the field during both Good Friday and Easter, as stated in the notification. Citizens are urged to cooperate with LWMC staff to ensure the cleanliness of the city during this period.
