Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan today for a three-day visit, according to the Foreign Office spokesperson. The purpose of his visit is to participate in the 10-year celebrations of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

During his stay, He Lifeng will also meet with President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. Both leaders have played vital roles in fostering strong economic relations between China and Pakistan, with the CPEC being a significant component of their cooperation.

This visit is considered a crucial event in strengthening the bilateral friendship between the two nations. The district administration has submitted a summary requesting two holidays from the Ministry of Interior to accommodate the visit’s security arrangements. As a result, government offices will be closed from Friday, and if Monday and Tuesday are also declared holidays, the total holidays will amount to five days.

Officials assure that strict security measures will be in place in Islamabad to ensure the distinguished guest’s safety upon his arrival. The visit of Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng signifies the ongoing commitment to the successful implementation of CPEC projects and further solidifies the strong relationship between Pakistan and China.
