The people of different countries have grown closer to each other, as evidenced by Chinese engineers and Pakistani workers collaborating closely to complete projects, even in challenging locations.
Various initiatives, including those in energy, agriculture, railways, and IT, have been launched under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). To advance CPEC projects and facilitate regional development, both countries aim to establish a development corridor, focusing on long-term projects. Upgrading ML1, enhancing agro-farming and horticulture sectors, and creating employment opportunities are among the priorities. Human resource development and fostering small job opportunities will benefit the people of Pakistan through CPEC.
Furthermore, a joint innovation corridor will be established to encourage cooperation in innovative sectors such as hi-tech, mobile, communication, e-commerce, and smart cities. Emphasis will be placed on the Green Corridor, Green Silk Road, and Green Pakistan Initiative to protect the environment. In responding to natural calamities, measures for relief and agriculture development will be expedited.
Promoting cooperation and connectivity with regional countries and involving third parties in CPEC will lead to greater regional connectivity and economic growth. China and Pakistan stand as good neighbors, friends, partners, and brothers, united in facing global challenges together. China fully supports Pakistan’s efforts for autonomy, independence, territorial integrity, national unity, social stability, and economic prosperity. Their common interests will drive their focus on development to shape a prosperous future.
