Former foreign minister and PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi has been granted a one-day physical remand in connection with the case involving a missing cipher.
The District and Sessions Court has instructed that he be presented in the relevant court tomorrow.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi appeared before Duty Judge Ehtsham Alam in court. The hearing regarding his remand was held in private.
The FIA (Federal Investigation Agency) had requested the physical remand of Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
The allegations against Shah Mehmood Qureshi involve sharing the information found in the cipher with unauthorized individuals. Charges under Sections 5 and 9 of the Official Secrets Act have been applied against the former foreign minister.
