KARACHI: After the result of Mayor Karachi, there was a clash between Jamaat-e-Islami and People’s Party workers outside Arts Council Karachi, stones were pelted by both sides, police and Rangers detained many workers.
The meeting for the election of the mayor was being held in the auditorium of the Arts Council. During the meeting, the situation outside the Arts Council was extremely tense. As the results came out, the argument escalated, and later it turned into a bitter verbal spat after the results came out.
The workers of both parties pelted stones at each other, on which the police and Rangers took action and tried their best to stop the quarrel.
