“Consideration of seeking cabinet approval for the trial of Imran Khan in jail.”

The plan to seek cabinet approval for the imprisonment trial of Chairman PTI Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi in Islamabad has been confirmed.

Sources indicate that the special court’s decision under the Official Secrets Act will be forwarded to the Ministry of Law via the Chief Commissioner of Islamabad.

Upon Federal Cabinet approval, the Ministry of Law will officially notify the prison trial. An official notification for the jail trial is expected before the next hearing, and a copy of the Special Court’s decision regarding the Official Secrets Act will be dispatched to the Jail Superintendent.

Following the judicial order, the Cabinet has opted to endorse the prison trial.
