Islamabad: It has been decided to indict Chairman PTI, Asad Umar and Fawad Chaudhry in the contempt Election Commission case.
A four-member commission headed by Member Sindh Nisar Durrani heard the contempt Election Commission case against chairman PTI, Asad Umar and Fawad Chaudhry.
The Election Commission gave a reserved decision on the objections of PTI, lawyer Faisal Chaudhry appeared before the Election Commission on behalf of the parties.
The Election Commission has summoned Chairman PTI, Asad Umar and Fawad Chaudhry in personal capacity for the upcoming hearing.
The decision said that the Election Commission has the authority to use contempt of court proceedings.
During the hearing, lawyer Faisal Chaudhry said that the Election Commission had not received any previous hearing order.
Member Nisar Durrani said that the parties have not appeared before the Election Commission even today.
The Election Commission rejected the PTI’s objections and adjourned the hearing of the case till July 11.
