KARACHI: Ahead of Independence Day celebrations, a court in Karachi has issued a ban on the use of musical instruments (known as “baja”) and the buying and selling of these instruments.
Judicial Magistrate Syed Anwar Ali Shah, presiding over the Malir Court, has directed the SHO (Station House Officer) of Sharifi Goth and Sachal areas to take necessary measures against individuals involved in playing and selling “baja” during the Jashan Azadi (Independence Day) festivities.
The court emphasized the importance of taking action against those who play these instruments and has requested updates on the actions taken. The court’s decision to ban these instruments stems from the disturbance they cause to the public during Independence Day celebrations.
