The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has asked parents or caregivers of newborns to stop using newborn loungers.
According to US media reports, after the tragic death of 2 babies due to newborn loungers, the CPSC has once again issued a warning to avoid buying such beds.
The Bobby Co., which manufactures the lounger, backed the agency’s alert, saying that if the baby rolls over in the lounger, moves or the bed is placed in a position that obstructs breathing.
There is a risk of suffocation. Earlier, between 2015 and 2020, eight babies died due to newborn loungers, after which in 2021 more than 3 million loungers were recalled from stores and their sale was declared illegal. Line marketing
