Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal has said that the National Economic Council has approved the closure of markets across the country at 8 pm under the energy saving plan.
Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal said that a meeting of the National Economic Council was held in which all the provinces were represented.
He said that it has also been agreed that the province will ensure the implementation of the decision to close the markets at 8 pm.
The Federal Minister further said that energy is our biggest expenditure, which measures are being taken to control it, if we control it, many problems will be solved.
He said that the biggest problem in summer is power generation, everyone agreed to close the bazaar night early to meet the demand of domestic consumers and we have given it. More important decisions will be made in the future.
Apart from this, the decision of the federal cabinet was also supported by the provincial chief ministers, according to which it has been decided to replace the old bulbs with LED lights and to implement the green energy project.
The Chief Minister decided that the energy policy would be implemented and the imported fuel bill would be reduced, the NEC also approved the launch of the Federal Flood Protection Programme.
On the other hand, traders have rejected the decision of the federal government to close the markets at 8 pm under the energy saving plan. All Pakistan Anjuman Tajran, while reacting to the government’s decision, has demanded that the government withdraw the decision to close the shops at 8 o’clock.
The President of All Pakistan Anjuman Tajran A Jamal Baloch has said in a statement issued on Tuesday that the shops will not be closed at 8 pm this summer.
