Bollywood actress Disha Patani’s father, retired Deputy SP Jagdish Singh Patani, allegedly fell victim to a fraud of Rs 25 lakh.
According to Indian media reports, a group of five people obtained this amount by tricking him into getting a high position in a government commission.
According to the police, the incident has been registered at the Kotwali police station in Bareilly, and a case has been registered against the named accused under charges of cheating, threatening and extortion.
The FIR states that Rs 5 lakh in cash and Rs 20 lakh were transferred from the actress’s father in three different bank accounts, but he did not get any high position and was robbed.
