Quetta: Following rains in Harnai, a flood situation has emerged, severing the land connection between Balochistan and Punjab.
Due to the rains, the rivers and canals are experiencing flooding, causing the complete closure of Punjab-Quetta traffic and leaving passengers distressed.
The Meteorological Department forecasts heavy winds and thundershowers in a few places, including Zhob, Musa Khel, Sabi, Barkhan, Kohlu, Loralai, Ziarat, and Khuzdar. Most districts of the province will continue to experience hot and severe weather conditions.
Yesterday, Sabi in Balochistan recorded the highest temperature of 47 degrees Celsius, while Quetta, the provincial capital, recorded a high of 39 degrees Celsius.
Other areas in the province saw temperatures of 46 degrees Celsius in Nokundi, 44 in Turbat, 41 in Chaman, 35 in Kalat, 37 in Zhob, and 28 in Ziarat. Coastal areas recorded 37 degrees Celsius in Gwadar and 35 degrees Celsius in Jiwani.
