New Delhi: An advanced light helicopter of the Indian Coast Guard participating in a rescue operation crashed while trying to make an emergency landing in the Arabian Sea.
According to the Indian media, the helicopter of the Indian Coast Guard reached the sea about 45 km away from Porbandar to rescue the crew of the motor tanker due to a medical emergency.
During the rescue operation, the Indian Coast Guard helicopter had to make an emergency landing in the Arabian Sea, but it crashed and drowned in the sea. There were 4 personnel in the helicopter, out of which 3 drowned in the sea while only one could be rescued.
Rescue operation is going on in search of 3 officials who went missing in the accident. 4 ships and 2 planes are participating in the rescue operation. The wreckage of the helicopter was found.
