
The ongoing apex committee meeting of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) in Islamabad, chaired by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, is attended by Army Chief General Asim Munir, the four Chief Ministers, the Information Minister, the Finance Minister, the Interior Minister, the Defense Minister, the Planning Minister, the Commerce Ministry, Minister of Law and Justice, Minister of Water Resources, and the four provincial chief secretaries.
During the session, there was a presentation on the progress of attracting $10 billion in investments, particularly in light of the recent visit by the Prime Minister to the United Arab Emirates. Discussions also revolved around foreign capital influx. Additionally, a report detailing investments from friendly nations was presented, alongside updates on internal security dynamics. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi provided insights into efforts combating trafficking.
