Earthquake vibrations were experienced across numerous districts of the province, Peshawar included.
As reported by the Seismological Center, the earthquake registered a magnitude of 5.2 and originated at a depth of 184 km beneath the surface. The epicenter of the quake is believed to be situated within the Hindu Kush mountain range.
The tremors were also felt in Chitral, Dir Lower, Dir Bala, Bajaur, Batkhela, and other nearby areas. In Dir Lower, the earthquake triggered panic in educational institutions, leading to students falling over each other, while residents appealed for clemency.
