Islamabad: The Election Commission has once again changed the election schedule.
According to the announcement issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan, the scrutiny of the candidates standing on the specific seats according to the new schedule will be done by January 13 instead of December 30 and the tribunals will be able to decide on the objections by January 20.
Candidates will be able to withdraw their nomination papers till January 22, after which the final list will be released on January 23.
According to the statement, in the context of the recent decision of the Peshawar High Court, the schedule of specific seats has been changed, which will not be applicable to journal publications.
