In the first semi-final of the Emerging T20 Asia Cup, Sri Lanka A defeated the defending champions Pakistan Shaheens and qualified for the final.

In the match played at the Emirates Stadium in Oman, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first, but no other batsman could walk except Umeer bin Yusuf.
