Lahore: A fresh case has been filed against present and former leaders of PTI, accusing them of defaming national security agencies and government officials.
The FIA Cybercrime Circle has lodged the case and initiated legal proceedings.
The FIR lists Hamad Azhar, Musrat Jamshed Cheema, Qasim Suri, and Umar Sarfraz Cheema as the alleged offenders. The names of Ali Zaidi, Fawad Chaudhry, and Azam Swati are also mentioned among the accused.
As per the details in the case, the accused individuals conducted a misinformation campaign against national security agencies on social media. Despite being summoned to provide an explanation, none of these leaders appeared or responded.
Sources within the FIA reveal that the case has been registered based on gathered evidence and statements. Special teams have been assembled to apprehend the accused individuals.
