Following the helicopter crash, Iran sought Help from the United States.

Washington: The United States reported that Iran sought assistance following the helicopter crash involving President Ebrahim Raisi.

In a media briefing, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller extended condolences on behalf of the US government for the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, noting that Iran will elect a new president. He emphasized that the US stands in solidarity with the Iranian people in their fight for human rights and fundamental freedoms.

The US Department of State officially expressed its condolences for President Raisi’s death and stated that a new presidential election will take place in Iran. Miller mentioned that Iran had requested help from the US after the helicopter crash, but declined to provide specifics about the assistance. He also criticized the Iranian government for using a 45-year-old helicopter in poor weather conditions.

The US spokesman accused the Iranian government of using its aircraft to support terrorism and affirmed that sanctions against the Iranian government will remain in place.
