
Islamabad: The Foreign Office has asserted that Pakistan and Iran share a common stance on Gaza, emphasizing the necessity for an impartial inquiry into the Gaza situation.
As per the Foreign Office spokesperson, Pakistan unequivocally denounces Israel’s actions in Gaza, urging the international community to promptly address the situation.
Highlighting the recent visit of Iranian President Dr. Syed Ibrahim Raisi to Pakistan from April 22 to 24, discussions between the two nations encompassed collaborative efforts across various domains. Concerns over the situation in the disputed region of Jammu and Kashmir were reiterated, emphasizing its international status.
It was further stated by the spokesperson that the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister are scheduled to visit Riyadh on April 28 and 29 for the World Economic Forum. This visit comes upon invitation from the Saudi leadership.
Subsequently, the Prime Minister is slated to visit The Gambia on May 4 and 5 to engage in discussions concerning the challenges confronting the Muslim Ummah at an upcoming summit. Matters pertaining to Gaza and the right to self-determination for the people of Jammu and Kashmir will be addressed during these talks, led by Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif.
Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar is also set to participate in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Foreign Ministers meeting in The Gambia, where engagements with counterparts from various Muslim nations are anticipated.
