The High Court has thrown out the 2018 contempt of court case against Nawaz Sharif over his speeches critical of the judiciary. Chief Justice Amir Farooq of the Islamabad High Court dismissed the petition due to lack of representation from the petitioner, Adnan Iqbal, a local citizen who had filed the case against Sharif for his remarks in 2018.
