Google, the technology giant based in California, has unveiled a substantial upgrade for its Bard AI chatbot. This enhanced version of Bard will be seamlessly integrated with some of Google’s flagship applications, including YouTube, Gmail, and Google Maps.
Through this integration, users will gain the capability to access their email and other private documents directly through the chatbot. Importantly, Google has emphasized that no human intervention will grant access to this sensitive information.
The expanded capabilities of Bard will encompass Gmail, Docs, Drive, Google Maps, YouTube, and Google Flight and Hotels, amalgamating data and services from across these platforms. For instance, if someone is planning a trip, they can query Bard for flight schedules and hotel details, seek directions to the airport via Google Maps, watch relevant videos on YouTube, and perform more functions seamlessly.
Alphabet, the parent company of Google, has embarked on this initiative to compete with Chat GPT, a phenomenon that captured global attention last year. A recurring challenge with these highly intelligent AI chatbots is ensuring accuracy in their responses. Google has addressed this concern by incorporating a verification button in Bard to confirm the provided answers.
Furthermore, users will have the capability to share their chatbot conversations with friends by generating a shareable link, enabling others to participate in the conversation as well.
