MUMBAI: Senior Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah says that hating Muslims has become a fashion for people from all walks of life in India.
During an interview with the Indian media, actor Naseeruddin Shah, who has played important roles in many Bollywood films, accused the Indian government of spreading Islamophobia.
Expressing concern over the growing hatred against the Muslim community in India, the actor said that hatred of Muslims, be it in films or in reality, has become fashionable these days.
He said that this is a disturbing time, propaganda is being done against Muslims, the current government has cleverly polluted people’s minds against Islam and Muslims, now educated and intelligent Hindus also hate Muslims.
Naseeruddin Shah raised the question that if India is a secular country, there is a democratic system, why do these people introduce religion into everything?
