In Rawalpindi, the Lahore High Court has expressed strong displeasure regarding the cancellation of the seal and registry of Lal Haveli, deeming it a clear violation of a previous court order. The case pertaining to the cancellation of the sale and registry of Lal Haveli was heard in the Rawalpindi Bench of the Lahore High Court. During the proceedings, the court questioned the decision to cancel the sale and registry, as they had previously ordered that no such action should be taken. They also inquired why Chairman Waqf Abandoned Properties was not personally summoned.

The court emphasized the importance of making legal decisions to uphold the law, stressing the need to avoid acting in a manner that would label them as arbitrary or unjust. The cancellation of the sale and registry of Lal Haveli was attributed to the breach of the High Court’s previous order.

Justice Jawad Hasan, the presiding judge, announced that he would transfer the case to Justice Mirza Waqqas Rauf, who had initially ordered against passing any further orders. Justice Rauf would oversee the next hearing, and the status quo of the matter would be maintained until the following Monday.

Subsequently, the court adjourned the hearing until October 2 and instructed the Waqf Abandoned Property Department to provide a response to the notice.
