The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the world ranking of Test players, the captain of the national cricket team, Babar Azam, has come to the third place.
In the world ranking of Test players released by the ICC, Kane Williamson of New Zealand is on the first place.
Australia’s Travis Head is second with 874 points, while captain Babar Azam has risen two levels to third with 862 rating points.
Australia’s Steve Smith is fourth with 855 points, after dropping two levels, while Marnos Labushin has 849 points. Together occupy the fifth position.
If Babar performs well in the upcoming two-match Test series against Sri Lanka starting July 16, he can challenge Williamson for the top spot in the rankings. They will be in action in the series against Lanka, who have moved up a notch to sixth position
