If the government is left for two months, settle matters with dignity and go home, Islamabad High Court

The Islamabad High Court has sought a progress report within four weeks on the matter sent to the federal cabinet for the appointment of the permanent DG of Pakistan Standard and Quality Control. 

Justice Babar Sattar remarked that the court expects the federal cabinet to follow the order of the high court regarding the permanent appointment.

The government is left with a total of two months. Justice Babar Sattar of the Islamabad High Court heard the contempt petition filed against Acting DG Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Ghulam Farooq for charging him again despite a court order. 

Federal Minister of Science and Technology Agha Hassan Baloch appeared on the court order and said that the issue of permanent appointment of DG Pakistan Standard and Quality Control has been sent to the cabinet, the cabinet will decide on the permanent appointment in a week. 

]The court inquired whether the secretary was also called, why did he not come? Federal Minister said The secretary is sick, I myself am sick, my transplant has been done but I am in front of the court. 

Justice Babar Sattar said that you are a parliamentarian, we do not like to call you. Dr Shahzad Afzal has challenged the appointment of his junior officer as Acting DG.
