Middle-order batsman Iftikhar Ahmed of the national cricket team has requested the CEO of Twitter, Elon Musk, to take action regarding a false statement attributed to him on the platform.
A user named Nawaz on Twitter posted a statement claiming to be from Iftikhar Ahmed, where he allegedly made derogatory remarks about playing against India. Disputing the statement’s authenticity, Iftikhar Ahmed shared a link and screenshot of the tweet, clarifying that he had never made such a comment, and emphasized that no professional cricketer would express such views.
Iftikhar Ahmed urged people to avoid spreading false news and called on fans to report the account that posted the fake statement. Additionally, he tagged Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, in the post, urging him to take action against the account for misusing the verified “BlueTick” status.
Subsequently, the tweet from the account “Nawaz” containing the fabricated statement has been removed.
Hafeez has also voiced his opinion about the inclusion of Iftikhar and Saud in the team’s middle order.
Junaid Khan questioned how Imamul-Haq could provide insights about Iftikhar and Haris.
