In the cipher case, proceedings were disrupted in an official secret act court at Adiala Jail in Islamabad, where the American cipher case was being heard before Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain.
Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the founder and leader of Tehreek Ansaf, were present in the court. Government lawyers Zulfiqar Naqvi and Umar Bilal, as well as Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s wife, daughter, common people, and witnesses, were also in attendance.
Tensions arose during the questioning of Azam Khan, who served as Imran Khan’s secretary during his tenure as prime minister. In response to the intensity of the situation, both Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi became agitated, leading to a disruption with raised voices. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the judge had to temporarily suspend the proceedings.
