In Islamabad, PTI lawyer Naeem Haider Panjhotha stated that Imran Khan has acknowledged his sole wrongdoing as adamantly refusing any culpability.
Addressing the media outside Adiala Jail, Panjhotha revealed that Imran Khan admitted fault in obstructing the indictment process, asserting that his commitment to genuine freedom led him to resist acting under the Secret Act despite prior requests.
Panjhotha shared details of his conversation with Imran Khan, highlighting the leader’s assertion that minor offenders face no consequences while major wrongdoers receive exoneration. Imran Khan expressed frustration at the lack of legal action against those who orchestrated a conspiracy, emphasizing that witnesses, like Aun Chaudhry, are being penalized to sideline them from elections. Imran questioned the significance of such testimonies.
According to Panjotha, Imran Khan emphasized that the legal requirements for the Tosha Khana case have been fulfilled, dismissing the intentional fabrication of cases. He noted that their application has been pending in the High Court for 12 months without progress, as neither withdrawal nor proceeding with the Tosha Khana case is being permitted.
Imran Khan asserted that Nawaz Sharif has concluded his political career and called for a thorough investigation into the events of May 9, demanding the release of CCTV footage from the Islamabad High Court and judicial complex to shed light on the situation.
