Rawalpindi: Imran Khan, the Founder Chairman of PTI, declared that his party would not extend assistance to Bilawal Bhutto Zardari under any circumstances.
Following a court hearing, Khan expressed dissatisfaction, asserting that the trial lacked transparency and media access was restricted.
Highlighting his concerns about the influence of the establishment, Khan emphasized the need for fair and transparent elections, accusing manipulation that has harmed the country. He mentioned the challenges in controlling PTI, even with alleged support from the establishment and the Election Commission. Khan lamented police interference during corner meetings and accused other parties of joining forces against PTI.
Addressing allegations against PTI, Khan defended the party’s actions on May 9 and denied any law-breaking. He urged an investigation into who obstructed the 2018 elections. Refusing assistance to Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Khan pointed out the irony of seeking help from those he governed with for 16 months.
During the hearing of the 190 million pounds corruption case, Khan criticized what he deemed a staged drama for February 8, suggesting delaying it until after that date. He questioned the timing of cases against Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari and urged expediting their proceedings. Khan also dismissed the prosecutor’s argument about witnesses, referring to a cricket analogy to illustrate money going out of the ground.
In summary, Imran Khan expressed dissatisfaction with the trial’s transparency, raised concerns about political interference, and rejected extending help to Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, all while advocating for fair elections and expeditious legal proceedings.
