Imran Khan’s request for bail is scheduled for a hearing at the Islamabad High Court.

Missing persons case: Islamabad High Court has summoned officials of intelligence agencies

In Islamabad, Imran Khan, the Chairman of PTI, has submitted a bail request to the Islamabad High Court regarding the cipher case, which is now scheduled for a hearing.

Imran Khan has lodged this bail application through his legal representative, Barrister Salman Safdar. In the application, he appeals to the court for his release.

In the petition, he asserts that the prosecution has unfairly implicated him in a fabricated case with malicious intent. He points out that on September 14, the special court, operating under the Official Secrets Act, disregarded numerous irregularities and contradictions presented by the prosecution when rejecting his previous bail application.

The Islamabad High Court has set a date for the hearing of this application, with Chief Justice Farooq of the Islamabad High Court presiding over the proceedings on Monday.

It’s essential to note that Imran Khan’s previous bail application was denied by the special court dealing with cases under the Official Secrets Act.

In the judgment issued by Justice Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain, it is emphasized that this is a highly classified case, and there is compelling evidence linking Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood Qureshi to the case. The judgment also mentions that the accused individuals have been found guilty of apparent offenses falling under Sections 5 and 9 of the Official Secrets Act, which are non-bailable provisions.
