In Karachi, the exchange rate between the US dollar and the Pakistani rupee experienced some fluctuations recently. In the open market, the dollar strengthened by Rs 2, settling at Rs 294 against the rupee. Conversely, in the interbank market, the dollar declined by 21 paise, reaching Rs 286.75.
Simultaneously, the Pakistan Stock Exchange witnessed a bullish trend, with the PSX gaining 419 points and the KSE 100 index reaching 49,004 points. This is the first time the index has reached the 49,000-point mark since June 12, 2017.
