The Lahore High Court has granted a 13-day deadline for the recovery of IG Punjab, Imran Riaz. Chief Justice Muhammad Amir Bhatti presided over the hearing of a plea filed by Imran Riaz’s father seeking his son’s safe return.
The IG Punjab informed the court that significant progress has been made in Imran Riaz’s recovery, and promising news is expected within the next ten to fifteen days. He requested a 10-day extension from the court.
In response, the Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court expressed concern about the need for more time, emphasizing the importance of tangible progress.
The High Court issued a directive for the IG Punjab to meet with Imran Riaz’s father and the legal team at five o’clock today.
