Increase in the price of gold in global and local markets.

After going expensive, gold became cheap again

In Karachi, both global and local gold markets have witnessed an increase in prices. Internationally, the cost of gold surged by $5 per ounce, reaching a new value of $2,400.

Simultaneously, the local exchange markets experienced a rise of Rs 400 in the price of 24-karat gold, now standing at Rs 214,200 per tola. The price per 10 grams also increased by 342 rupees, bringing it to Rs 183,642.

Contrary to the upward trend in gold, silver prices in the country remained stable, with no change observed. The rates for silver remained at Rs 2,600 per tola and Rs 2,229.08 per 10 grams.

It’s worth noting that just a day prior, both international and local gold prices had seen a decline.
